Flutes
Flutes are the fan favourites of the orchestra, and we love seeing all the young flautists come in to our store each year to get their first instrument. To make sure they all start off on the right foot, we stock a range of quality student instruments from teachers' favourite brands.
For the budget-conscious, we start off with the Ida Maria Grassi School Series for $499. Designed to be reliable and easy to play for beginners, this flute has an excellent intonation and is easy to play on all registers.The next step up is the Grassi French Style 800 Series for $649, ideal for those looking for an intermediate instrument with a very stable and fluid action.
Jupiter has long been a favourite brand for school students and teachers alike, and we have the 700 Series for $849, featuring a C foot, silver-plated nickel silver headjoint, silver-plated nickel silver body, offset G, closed hole keys, and a MyCase stackable ABS case. If you really want to start out on the right foot, you can try the Split E version for $989, featuring a C foot, silver-plated nickel silver headjoint, Sterling Silver riser, silver-plated nickel silver body, split E, offset G, closed hole keys, French case and cover.

Clarinets
If Flutes are the heart of the orchestra, then Clarinets are the soul. A quality student Clarinet will help your child to make sweeter sounds sooner, and we have a range to suit every budget.
Again Grassi provides a quality budget option with their School Series for $499. The ABS body offers strong projection, excellent durability, and greater resistance to humidity and temperature changes than wood. Featuring a Boehm system with 17 nickel-plated keys, an adjustable thumb rest, and two interchangeable barrels for optimal intonation.
For a quality instrument that will take you further in your journey, try the Jupiter 700 Series. It features a poly-cylindrical bore design, ABS resin matte finish, nickel silver bell ring, comfortable C/G key riser, undercut tone holes and adjustable thumb rest.

Saxophones
Everyone loves the Saxophone, from Charlie Parker to Lisa Simpson. And school music programs usually have two types (sizes) of Sax: Alto and Tenor. So we have them both covered, with two school favourite brands to choose from.
The Grassi 20SK Alto Sax is very suitable for students who need an instrument that is easy to manage under the aspects of intonation and ease of response while still offering a full-bodied sound - our price $1349. Trumpets
The Brass section is the shining star of any band or orchestra, and your child will certainly shine brightly with one of our student Trumpets.
Starting at $549 is the Grassi School Series, the ideal instrument to start studying. The thickness of the brass and the medium / wide bore make it a very versatile trumpet with a round sound.

Trombones
The Tenor Trombone is lots of fun to play, and the lucky students who are able to learn it in school get several options to choose from.
Starting our range is the ZO Academy Series at $699. Meticulously designed with the developing player in mind, the Academy Trombone features an 8” yellow brass bell which delivers a warm, sonorous sound. The .500” medium bore and nickel outer slide provide a balanced blow and fast response across the registers.
Teacher favourite brand Jupiter offers the 700 Series Trombone at $1199, a great first trombone that plays well in both high and low registers. Notes pop out easily.
