Gretsch Resonators

RESONATOR WARS!!

This video is a great tonal demonstration of the differences between the brass body Honey Dipper and the mahogany body Alligator.
These instruments take us back to the times of old and are a classic early blues reminder of where rock and roll and mountain music came from...Lovely.

Fender Starcaster Bass

Introducing the Fender Modern Player Starcaster bass! This innovative semi hollow design was debuted by Fender in the mid 1970's and, since original versions are becoming harder to find, this is the first reissue of the type. This model features a nod to Fender's previous bass designs with an offset body, but that's were the similarities stop! Electronically the Starcaster was a complete step forward with a three way toggle switch controlling the dual, wide-range humbucking pickups. To further fine tune the tone of the instrument, each pickup has its own tone and volume control, allowing the player to get the perfect blend of neck and bridge pickups, to darken up the bridge position, or to introduce some treble frequencies to the neck pickup. These sounds are hammered out on the all maple bolt on neck, and as a short scale bass the Starcaster offers comfort and playability to suit a wide variety of players. The Starcaster's headstock was another obvious change from earlier models, with its sleek, new shape contrasted by the beveled lower side of the headstock.

Ibanez Artcore AFD75T Guitar in Blue Sparkle

Since Ibanez introduced the Artcore line-up in 2002, guitarists all over the world have praised them on their unique and sometimes quirky looks, excellent build quality, and tonal versatility. The AFD75T is a brand new addition to the Artcore series and was freshly released at the N.A.M.M show earlier in the year. Featuring a double cutaway, centre block body, this guitar delivers not only on classic looks, but it covers the tradition tonal bases that you could expect from a semi-hollow guitar. Plugged into a Vox AC15 a wide range of tones could be achieved from this guitar, clean neck pickup tones gave a full woody tone that would suit jazz and pop, and the bridge position offers a little more bite and aggression than a standard humbucker. Cranking up the overdrive gives you plenty of controllable feedback and great sustain, with the semi-hollow design adding warmth to the tone. Hardware includes a roller bridge and an Ibanez branded vibrato, which, together give you great tuning stability and classic rockabilly tones. The guitar is finished with a gorgeous blue sparkle top and the mahogany stained back and adds contrast and sets the top off nicely. Not to mention it looks fantastic under stage lights! So check out the AFD75-T today.

Yamaha SA2200 Model Guitar with F Holes in Violin Sunburst

Yamaha is a company that is renowned for building fine quality musical instruments and the SA2200-VS no exception. Featuring a highly flamed maple body, its semi-hollow design (with a traditional mahogany centre block) lends itself to many different genres and styles, and offers tonal versatility and great looks to match. Dual humbucking pickups with Alnico V magnets cover all the bases from classic rock and blues, to country and jazz, and with the added ability to coil tap each pickup, convincing single coil tones are also at your fingertips. Separate volume and tone controls are wired to each pickup to help shape your tone when both pickups are activated. In the neck position with the tone rolled and some fuzz or overdrive added you can achieve creamy, driven tones that throw back to the 60's, and the bridge gives you everything from throaty, 70's classic rock, to hot Chicago blues. An ebony fingerboard with split perloid block inlays compliments the flamed top, and gold plated hardware rounds out the overall finish and vibe of the guitar nicely.
