The band Periphery has become a force to be reckoned with in the progressive metal scene thanks to their complex rhythms and soaring melodies. Guitarist Mark Holcomb helps achieve this full, lethal sound with his PRS guitars and signature Seymour Duncan Alpha and Omega pickups. PRS and Holcomb have worked closely together to develop a truly unique guitar for the SE Series lineup.
The SE Mark Holcomb SVN model truly stands on its own in the PRS lineup and delivers addictive playability thanks to some unique specifications, including a 24-fret, 26.5” scale length, wide thin satin maple neck with 20” radius ebony fretboard, topped off with coil-taps for the pickups and a string-through, plate-style, 7-string bridge.
The PRS SE Silver Sky is a familiar iteration of the original Silver Sky model that was first introduced with John Mayer in 2018. This workhorse guitar provides ample tone and playability in four distinct colors, delivering looks, feel, and sound. Starting with a poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fretboard with PRS trademark bird inlays, the 22-fret, 25.5” scale length neck features the original 635JM carve and an 8.5” fretboard radius, so you will feel right at home. The three single-coil 635JM “S” pickups will bark and sing. Anchored by a two-point steel tremolo, synthetic bone nut, and vintage-style tuners, it also features the PRS Silver Sky inverted headstock shape and the PRS double-acting truss rod (accessible from the front of the headstock for ease of use). Ships with PRS Classic 10-46 strings and gig bag.
The SE Custom 24 is the quintessential SE instrument, designed to faithfully reflect the PRS model that started it all. The SE Custom 24 Lefty brings classic PRS playability, reliability, and vibrant tone to the left-handed players of the world. Gig and studio ready, this model keeps all of the same foundational specifications as the SE Custom 24: maple top, mahogany back, Wide Thin maple neck, 24 frets, 25” scale length, the PRS patented molded tremolo, and dual 85/15 “S” pickups with a 3-way blade switch and push/pull tone control for coil splitting.
