Winterleaf Acoustics with FREE Case

Tanglewood Crossroads
The Crossroads series pays homage to the style & sound of classic instruments from 1930’s America. Tanglewood set out to create an instrument that evokes these traditional values, and commissioned the services of a very special luthier, Michael Sanden, the man behind Tanglewood Masterdesign.
Michael starts with the tree, selecting timbers that will sound good together, making the soundboards a precise measurement so they will flex and respond to the players attack, and then he braces the instrument with his own patterns to make each instrument have its own personality.
It’s not just the special bracing, or the woods that are selected, or the construction method even. All these are vital components for any guitar, but on Crossroads Michael wanted to create something special.
He wanted to make a guitar that could have the sound that any musician, professional or amateur, could appreciate. He wanted to make the guitar look authentic to the 1930’s era, adding a wonderful dark tobacco burst stain to the timbers to make the Crossroads guitars look historic and simply elegant. And he demanded that the neck profiles and bridge contouring and fret inlaying should be implemented without regard to the price of manufacturing, to proudly reflect the Tanglewood ethos of outstanding value and performance.
Tanglewood Luna Safari
The Luna Safari range of 3/4 size traveller guitars take you on an enchanted journey with their striking designs. Light on your back and easy on your wallet, these compact guitars deliver full size tone and tonal voice that belie their small size. Beautifully handcrafted from select spruce and mahogany, the Safari range boasts quality construction to match its sound and stunning design. Tanglewood Tiare Ukuleles
The all new Tanglewood Tiare range takes inspiration from the lush, rare forests of the South Pacific. A huge new range involving a variety of beautiful timbers, there is a ukulele to suit everyone! Our biggest design feature is the Tiare arched backs, for a truely authentic ukulele. The range covers a multitude of deluxe timbers including Flame Mahogany, Black Walnut, Spruce, Koa, Spalt Maple, Cedar, Figured Ovangkol & Figured Pacific Walnut, to name a few. Other features include Supernylgut Aquila strings, laser etched & abalone rosettes and premium gloss & satin finishes.
Tanglewood Resonators & Mandolins
After researching the Folk instrument market further, Tanglewood noticed that there was a need for affordable niche products to allow the budding George Formby to hit the instrument ladder and serenade their window cleaner or the next Eric Clapton to pick up a resonator and get playing.
With that in mind Tanglewood designed the Union Series Mandolin and Resonator, offering great specification at affordable prices.
