PRS Guitars Just Landed!

"Believe in your dreams"

Since Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, way before Nirvana there was U2, and Blondie, and music still on MTV - and PRS Guitars. You don't need to be preoccupied with 1985 to be familiar with the name Paul Reed Smith.

A dream, a talent, and an unshakeable dedication to quality has brought PRS Guitars from Paul's humble workshop in Annapolis, Maryland to the world stage, with many huge names (think Carlos Santana, John Mayer, Alex Lifeson, Mark Holcomb) relying on PRS Guitars to craft and deliver their signature sound.

And now the first tricklings of our new PRS range have landed here at The Music Spot. The PRS SE Custom 24 is the quintessential SE guitar, designed to faithfully reflect the PRS model that started it all. The SE Custom 24 Laurel Burl adds a distinctive new look while serving up classic PRS playability, reliability, and vibrant tone. This model keeps all of the foundation specifications as the SE Custom 24, including a maple top, mahogany back, Wide Thin maple neck, 24 frets, 25” scale length, the PRS patented molded tremolo, and dual 85/15 “S” pickups with a 3-way blade switch and push/pull tone control for coil tapping. Gig ready, studio sound, and sure to turn heads.

As a limited edition, PRS will be offering a maximum of 1,500 SE Custom 24 Laurel Burl guitars worldwide.

We have this beautiful SE Mira in Frost Blue Metallic, on sale at $1259. With instant comfort and playability and an explosive, captivating voice, the SE Mira is a guitar you won’t want to put down. Its all-mahogany body and 85/15 “S” pickups combine to create a balanced, vintage tone that can be overdriven into well-rounded rock tones without sacrificing punch and clarity. The push/pull tone control adds to the SE Mira’s versatility.

Or if you prefer the heavy, driving sounds of Periphery, you might want to check out this amazing seven-string Mark Holcomb Signature Electric. The SE Mark Holcomb SVN model truly stands on its own in the PRS lineup and delivers addictive playability thanks to some unique specifications, including a 24-fret, 26.5” scale length, wide thin satin maple neck with 20” radius ebony fretboard. Holcomb’s signature Seymour Duncan Alpha and Omega 7-string pickups provide the right amount of output and articulation whether you’re playing sophisticated chords or solos and whether you’re playing alone or working in the mix of a band. Other specifications include black hardware, a 3-way blade pickup switch with push/pull tone knob for coil splitting, and the choice of a quilted maple or walnut veneer. The model is topped off with coil-taps for the pickups and a string-through, plate-style, 7-string bridge.

So come down and try out some of these models for yourself. And remember, if your first answer after being asked by the LAPD what your demands are for releasing the hostages isn't a PRS Guitar, then Chazz Darby will be very unimpressed.
