A Legacy of Amplification

It's Music Spot Birthday Time, and guess who's up this week??

If you can guess which Team Member is having their birthday this week, you've won the right to get a free Spot Selfie with him, buy him a cake, sing to him, or just generally make him feel special. If you're really lucky, you might even get to hear him sing ;)

Continuing with Amplifier Month, we thought this week we'd take a look at another company with a full, rich history of amplification: Fender.

Leo Fender actually started making amplifiers before he started making guitars, way back in 1945. These were tube powered, with solid state models coming later in the 1960s. His first company was the K&F Manufacturing Corporation, with his friend Doc Kauffman. The first Fender amps made in-house were the Woody series, from 1946 to 1948. They included the Model 26 Deluxe, the Princeton, and the Professional. If you happen to have one of these sitting in your garage, lock it up tight - these would be worth a mint today!

Over 70 years later, Fender is still a household name, with a reputation for and commitment to quality that is second to none. New technology and manufacturing processes have ensured that Fender Amplifiers continue to be at the forefront of the music industry, with many professional musicians relying on them. With a range designed to suit any budget, you know that with a Fender, you can't go wrong.

So of course that means we keep a good stock of Fender Amps instore here at The Music Spot, in Acoustic, Electric and Bass.

For example, the Champion 20W Combo, easy to use and versatile for any style of music. If you want to stand out, how about the FSR Blues Junior in Candy Apple Red - small and portable, enabling you to work on creating your signature tone. If you've got a bit more bass to boom, there's the Rumble 40W Bass Amp, the newest in the evolution of portable bass amps. Or if classic is more your scene, we have the Super Bassman 300W Head with 1600W 610 Neo Cab, in Blonde / Oxblood style. That will get your sound out there. Excellent quality and excellent prices.
