Solid wood tops from the best selling Evolution 1-4 range to give these guitars an immediate warm, rich tone, with Australian Red Cedar as a veneer on top to give something a little bit extra special. Exotic hardwoods are taken from the Discovery Exotic series, to make a contrasting back and sides that perfectly compliments the warm soundboard. Lastly, Herringbone aesthetic signatures and snowflake inlays from the Sundance guitars to give an exclusive and premium visual impact. And this “Union” of ever popular features, integrated into one singular new range christened REUNION PRO series, is a fusion of all the things that is loved in Tanglewood models over the years.

We’ve long pioneered the practice of sustainable forestry in the pursuit of our art and for this latest Roadster series we match finely graded Canadian Spruce tops with traditional Indonesian mahogany back and sides to produce tonally rich instruments that sound instantly wonderful tuned up right out of the box.
Our luthiers have to work especially hard in creating their look, finishing the smooth edging joins of the body very carefully because there is no binding added to the body of these models, therefore no margin for error. Spruce tops are finished and sealed in high grade, low density satin lacquer and as well as capturing the stripped down raw timber cosmetic effect we envisaged on the drawing board, we are sure this also adds to their sweet sounding sonic appeal.

Inspired by Italian marquetry techniques, the Java guitars have an Amara Ebony back and sides with a contrasting strip of Spalted Mango timber defining the back of the instrument and making the Java series really stand out from the crowd.
Blackbird guitars are carefully braced to provide a tight bottom end bass note and clear rich high spectrum resonance. Bound in vintage ivory ABS materials to provide the look of Bakelite from the 40’s, and though this won’t affect the sound, it certainly helps give provenance to the historic look.
